This was a side project the Corporate Whores were always working on in their spare time, which back in Tucson in the early 80s there was a lot of spare time. They called these musical pieces of work The Festering Sessions and we are sharing for the first time with the world.

Back before there was electronic tape loops and digital recording with 128 channels, the Festering Sores were using common household items and multiple 2-track cassette machines to create a unique sound found nowhere else. A set of headphones as a microphone, speaker cabinets with most of the speakers blown or missing, cheap $50 guitars, delay and distortion pedals met an endless supply of unsuspecting talent to play and perform while the tape machines were rolling. Tape machines playing inside paper bags used as multi-tracking, ad-libbed lyrics, and unrehearsed performances created many hours of recordings from which this collection was derived.

It’s my pleasure to rescue these recordings and share them with the world.

Corporate Whores formed in Tucson, AZ in the fall of 1981 by Phil Pratt (Pridy Strynge)-drums, Diane Griffin-bass, & Dennis McKeown (der Dentist)-guitar.
